"Andy Gaffney thinks he is most important thing to happen to a hospital since the invention of the MRI machine, he is very much mistaken. Andy sought out 89.5fm after falling in love with the sound of his own voice through his podcasts and wanted to marry this with his love of good music. Andy presents the Alternative Hour on thursdays playing hits from Elbow to the Beatles. Features on the show include such mind blowers as 'I didn't know that about Animals' with the help from Nurse Christina and the game thats sweeping the country, Two true to be false. He can also be heard sometimes on the Breakfast Show on Fridays" |

Richard Smith Having spent many months in Hospital Following an accident I feel that I have a better idea, and a greater understanding of what patients and staff need from their local service. So, I set about creating a programme which, hopefully would appeal to most listeners young and old alike, and in such a format that would suit their varying listening habits. ‘The A to Z of pop!’ has been created especially with Hospital Radio listener’s in mind.

Tom Noctor is the Station Manager. It is my job to keep things running smoothly. In that regard I am very lucky to have such a great bunch of dedicated volunteers to work with. I don't get on air as much as I would like as the administration keeps me busy and we have a good compliment of presenters at the moment. |
